Another is reason is that Netflix limits the amounts of devices that can download Netflix movies. In the basic plan you can only download movies on 1 device, in the Standard Plan you can download movies on 2 devices and in the Premium plan you can download movies in 4 devices.

Can You Download Netflix Movies on MacBook?

Currently, Netflix app doesn’t support downloads on MacOS. This means you can’t download content on Mac except by using Boot Camp, or by streaming content using an iPad or iPhone via Airplay.
